Dr. Jian Madesen is an acupuncturist and medical massage therapist practicing in the United States, where she is renowned for her profound expertise that bridges Eastern and Western medicinal practices. She holds a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine (DAOM), a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and an Associate's Degree in Massage Therapy, all awarded by institutions in the USA.
Prior to establishing her practice in the United States, Dr. Madesen acquired an impressive educational foundation in China, earning degrees in Clinical Medicine, Nursing, and Chinese Language Literature Education. Her medical career includes MD of 15 years of service as a Gynecologist and Obstetrician in the hospital and six years as a senior teacher and doctor specializing in mental health education within the beautiful high-tech city - Shenzhen's public schools. A prolific contributor to medical and educational scholarship, Dr. Madesen has published approximately 12 papers and maintains active memberships in key medical societies such as the Spinal Health Professional Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS), the ATCMA, and the American TCM Acupuncture Inheritance Association (ATCMAIA).
In her professional journey, Dr. Madesen has had the privilege of being mentored by Professor Decheng Chen, a leading figure in acupuncture who founded "Motion Acupuncture Therapy." Professor Chen, who is the Dean of the New York Natural Acupuncture Center and a key leader within the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS), also serves as the Vice Chairman of the WFCMS's External Therapy Technology Professional Committee. His academic roles include being a professor and doctoral supervisor at the American Academy of Health and Wellness in Minnesota, USA, and he has served as the Deputy Chief Physician at the former Beijing Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.
Dr. Madesen has honed her skills in Motion Acupuncture, a pioneering and scientifically backed technique developed for the quick alleviation and cure of muscle tension, soreness, and pain arising from soft tissue injuries and some different disciplines diseases ; She has also been under the tutelage of Prof. Tianjun Wang, the esteemed President of the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the UK, known for his innovative scalp acupuncture and guided Qi therapy for psychiatric disorders, such as depression and anxiety, etc.; More recently, she has been studying with Prof. GuanYuan Jin, an acclaimed medical acupuncture specialist with a rich background in neurophysiology, cardiology, and chronobiology. Prof. Jin, the Director of the International Institute of Systems Medicine in the USA, imparts his knowledge on modern acupuncture methods for anti-inflammatory treatment and reflex point therapy, both at the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine and previously at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine;
